This gallery, founded in 1981, houses a fine collection of American paintings, drawings and sculptures from the period between 1750 and 1950. A recent exhibit included the works of Lockwood de Forest. Richard York Gallery has represented such artists as the Peale family (Charles Wilson and Raphael Peale) and Hudson River School painter Albert Bierstadt.
