Sasabune

Authentic Sushis and Sashimis
401, East 73rd Street
New York, NY 10021
+1 212 249 8583
This Upper East Side Sushi bar is not one of those places where pseudo or watered-down versions of Sushi make way in your plate. You get to eat the real stuff here. The sign displayed at the entrance says 'today's special, trust me'. And you will more than trust the chef for the delectable butterfish, Scottish salmon and the mouth-melting crabs. The Omakase menu changes daily but has some regular favorites. The decor is minimalist, almost non-existent except for some bamboos that pass of as the only adornment. The place can be quite crowded and stuffy in the evenings. If you can brush off all this, Sasabune is the place to be, for Sushis.
