Shanghai Tang peddles the "chinoiserie" fashion, which is an old, glamorous style of Chinese dress. It features brightly colored silk qi-paos (those slinky dresses with mandarin collars worn in New York primarily by Chinese grandmothers and cocktail waitresses). There are also communist workers' uniforms in silk as well as a number of exotic household items. Quality is good and prices are what you would expect to pay for a big name designer.
