A visit to Sonnabend is always a surprise...you might come for one particular exhibition, and end up wandering through some other unique creations. The gallery has the capacity of not only accommodating more than one exhibition at a time, but it also showcases original furniture pieces and photography other than paintings. Right from the first exhibition back in 1971, where Brit duo Gilbert and George put up their well-known 'Singing Sculpture', Sonnabend has been a place where artists, old and new, can find an outlet for freely expressing themselves!
