Opened in 1929, Staten Island's St. George Theatre serves as an elegant venue for musical, comedy, and theatrical events. The 2800 seat Baroque-designed building was largely restored and repaired in 2004, and now hosts a wide variety of cultural and educational events, including rock concerts, children's plays, and film festivals. Handicap access is available on the orchestra level only as the theater is not equipped with elevators or escalators.
