St. Marks Place, named after St Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, is a street in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. Along this street, you can find an array of business places from vintage clothing stores and record shops to cafes. Throughout the years, this countercultural hot spot has been the stomping grounds for several famous and influential people including Thelonius Monk, Yoko Ono, W.H. Auden, Jeff Buckley, and many more.
