Tamarind blends food, service and setting in a novel way at this side of Flatiron. Chef Jallepalli oversees the happenings in the kitchen and the result is simply marvellous. Tandoori Salmon, Sweet Potato Kofta, Lamb Pasanda, Goat Biryani are succulent bearing the right amount of spice. Shrimp Moiley and Chicken Tikka Masala shouldn't be overlooked. The dessert list mentions among others Rasmalai, Phirnee, Gulab Jamun and Kulfi, which are heavy but worth a shot. Whiskies, teas, dessert wines and cognacs are also available.
