If there's a hidden Tibet anywhere in New York, it's here. The food from the land of the Dalai Lama is delicious, aromatic and wholesome to say the least. Tsampa whips up a good range of pan-fried noodles and rice, which are mildly spiced and delicately flavored. The plump and juicy momos, presented with an array of stuffings are not to be missed either. Also worth savoring are the fresh vegetable juices and butter tea. This no-frills eatery is cramped and dimly lit but charming and cozy. The menu is an all-vegetarian listing and the place is frequented by the health-conscious bunch. Review © 2009, Wcities |
