Sweet music to the ears |
Between 5th & 6th Avenues West 3rd & 6th Streets (Venue) New York, NY 10014 +1 212 252 3621 (Organizers) http://www.washingtonsquaremusicfestival.org/ |
The Southeast quadrant of Washington Square Park is a great place to chill out on a summer evening listening to favorite symphonies by young performers. But if you want all this, make sure you go there during the Washington Square Music Festival. Famous performers like William Schimmel and Allyssa Lamb have performed in the past. Come rain or shine the beat goes on; there is a rain proof zone if the clouds decide to pour. Although the event is free, arrive early if you want to secure a seat that allows a good view of the performers. Or bring your own chair and relax wherever you please while you listen to the music rise up over the park. Review © 2009, Wcities |
