Owner and winemaker, Tom Chiappone is a wine chemist and encologist who makes 23 different varieties of wines. His most popular wine is his Niagara white, Knocking on Heaven's Door. Other whites include a Vidal Blanc and a Cayuga. He also makes several blush wines including April Love, a Pink Catawba. Reds include a sweet concord and Rougeon, a French-American hybrid. His "Lake Effect" is the first commercial ice wine made in Niagara County. Tom's family has been making wine for over 170 years.
