Promoting African-American culture |
210 Channing Square Oklahoma City, OK 73102 United States +1 405 424 2552 |
For nearly 30 years, the center has been educating Oklahoma about other cultures through plays, musical concerts and instructional workshops with artists. BLAC Inc. is a great place to visit on your own or with the family. It illustrates how influential African-American culture has been in every artistic discipline and, through art, gives one a glimpse into life in that culture. In addition to its in-house events, the center also sponsors the annual Deep Deuce Jazz Festival. Held the first weekend in October, visitors can groove to music, sample ethnic cuisine and browse artist booths—all in mild Indian-summer weather. Review © 2007, Wcities |
