Popular Dundee dinner spot |
4949 Underwood Avenue Omaha, NE 68132 United States +1 402 553 5000 |
This ultra-trendy dining spot situated in historic Dundee offers a little spice and lots of energy. It was recently listed in Bon Appetit magazine as "One of the Best Neighborhood Restaurants in the Nation." The interior, which until 1999 housed a corner hardware store, now sports a sleek, modern look. The large dinner menu includes Caribbean Salmon (USD16), Diver Sea Scallops (USD19), Argentinean Spice-Rubbed Filet (USD20) and other tasty options. Since the dining room tends to be a bit noisy, this is not the place to conduct a quiet meeting or a romantic dinner for two. When you come to Bomba Dia, plan to party. No checks accepted. A bit of Ireland in Omaha |
319 North 78th Street Omaha, NE 68114 United States +1 402 393 3731 |
Everyone is Irish at this festive pub. Wood paneling and big, sturdy tables and booths make this the place to pull up a chair and hang out with your friends. Beers and whiskeys from Ireland are the favorite here; there is even a separate whiskey menu. The food is better than average with beer battered Galloway Bay Fish and Chips, the Pub Classic Sandwich, Jameson Whiskey Steak and Lemon Pepper Salmon. Live Irish music adds to the fun. Fish, Chips, and Single Malt Scotches |
5007 Underwood Ave Omaha, NE 68132 United States +1 402 553 9501 http://www.dundeedell.com/ |
This long-standing Omaha favorite recently moved to new digs in the heart of Dundee. Established in 1933, the only thing new about the "new" Dell is the atmosphere, which has gone from haphazard to hip. Gratefully, the food remains the same, including the signature two piece fish and chips that made the Dell famous. Other menu favorites include the Reuben Sandwich and the Big Easy Sandwich. There are more than 500 different brands of single malt scotches on hand to tempt the serious sipper. With nearly 1200 types of liquor, over 150 beers, and 80 wines you won't be disappointed. This is arguably the most popular Italian eatery in the city. Original recipes and authentic flavor will have you exclaiming "Mama Mia"! The seafood preparations are fresh (try the wood-grilled fish), the steaks are sinfully juicy, and the gnocchi is to die for. The ambience is classy minus the snob-factor, and the prices are not unreasonable. Bring the kids along, too—Spezia is the perfect place for an intimate family dinner. Review © 2007, Wcities |
