A world-class zoo and IMAX too |
3701 South 10th Street Omaha, NE 68107 United States +1 402 733 8401 http://www.omahazoo.com/ |
Readers of Disney-owned Family Fun Magazine recently named this the "#1 Family Friendly Vacation Spot in the U.S." After visiting, you will understand why. Where else can you stroll through the world's largest man-made jungle; view sharks and other deep sea inhabitants through a glass-enclosed, walk-through tunnel; take a Lozier IMAX Theatre adventure to the top of Mt. Everest; and view hundreds of birds flying freely in a mesh aviary the size of four football fields; all in one afternoon? Review © 2007, Wcities |

Where the buffalo roam |
16406 292nd Street Omaha, NE 68003 United States +1 402 944 9453 http://www.omahazoo.com |
Make sure the car windows sparkle before embarking on this drive-through adventure. A road leads visitors through several different lands featuring Sandhill Cranes, antelope, deer and a large buffalo herd. Although on display, most of the animals freely roam this corner of the county. A special section called Wolf Woods does require a short walk. While out of the car, be sure to check out the interactive nature exhibits and gift shop. All facilities are accessible to the physically challenged. Review © 2007, Wcities |
