Undoubtedly, the central venue for culture in Orlando, it has a seating capacity of 2,500 people. Host to a wide array of events, it is best known for the annual Orlando Broadway Series. This three-day festival takes place during the annual SCREAMFEST Horror Convention at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. Each year it showcases the newest and scariest submissions from both well-known and rising independent horror filmmakers. The festival ends with an awards ceremony that includes categories such as Best Florida Horror Film, Best FX Makeup, and the Audience Choice Award. As the festival (and the convention in general) anticipates attendance rates to be in the thousands, be sure to check the website for film schedules and ticket prices as early as possible.
