Italian allure |
5601 Universal Boulevard Portofino Bay Hotel, Universal Orlando Resort Orlando, FL 32819 United States +1 407 503 1415 http://www.biceorlando.com/orl... |
Bice is located at Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. This is the first of its restaurants in Florida. A traditional trattoria from Milan, the chain has now become a premier ristorante with a growing number of clients and an international name. There is enough space for events and gatherings including private dining rooms, terraces, patio lounge and bar area. Fine Italian food, a huge wine list and a great view of the harbor offer everything that a good restaurant should have to keep the guests coming back for more. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Totally tapas |
5445 Forbes Place Orlando, FL 32812 United States +1 407 240 1000 http://marriott.com/property/a... |
Located in the Renaissance Orlando Hotel-Airport, this is an unassuming restaurant that doesn't look like much on the outside. This lobby eatery features some of the best tapas (Spanish appetizer) dishes to be found anywhere in Orlando. Dine alongside a relaxing waterfall as attentive and helpful servers offer wine and beer suggestions and guide you through a menu as diverse and satisfying as Orlando itself. Delicately breaded calamari, stone oven-baked pizzas and succulent lamb chops compete for your attention, but don't worry; this reasonably priced tapas restaurant makes it easy to sample as many dishes as you can handle. Universal secret |

Eating at Mama Della's Ristorante at Universal Orlando Resort is like having dinner in an Italian home. Family portraits and paintings line the walls. Good service, great menu options, an accordion player who also sings traditional songs, etc. set the mood. The food brings home the flavors and tastes of Tuscany, Naples and Piedmont. Eat indoors or out in the piazza. The restaurant has won many awards and Steven Spielberg is a regular here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Monaco in Orlando |
50 East Pine Street Orlando, FL 32801 United States +1 407 843 4410 |
While the restaurant's name suggests its focus, this spot actually serves very good food as well. An airy ambience prevails in this restaurant which sports a pleasant 'open' feel. Here you feast on such favorites as a House Salad featuring a mix of walnuts and blue cheese served over greens, Shrimp and Asparagus Capellini, or Potato Frittata, served with salmon. Also popular is the restaurant's Sandwich Bar, allowing visitors to build their own concoctions from a wide variety of meats, bread and garnishes. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Even the Crust is Tasty |
8947 Conroy-Windermere Road (at Apopka-Vineland Road) Orlando, FL United States +1 407 876 0021 |
Sean Mussulman, owner, proprietor, and man with a mission, founded Olympia Pizza in 2006. Over time, he has perfected his recipe, and now you can get some of the best pizza in Orlando in this cute little joint, which is tucked into a corner of a strip mall across from a supermarket. Mussulman uses only high-quality ingredients to make his New York-style pizzas even better than most you'll find in New York. The secret? The crust. No longer is the crust just an excess piece of bread; it's a flavorful treat even your kid will eat. Olympia also offers fresh salads and delectable gyros, among other non-pizza delights. The Chef at Primo within JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes creates her own version of Italian contemporary cuisine. Imaginatively cooked, many recipes are new takes of old ones, sensible, good looking, great to eat, tasty and fulfilling. The ingredients are fresh and organic, plucked daily from the on-site garden. Fresh ingredients tend to give the food a very different flavor indeed. A good place for candlelight occasions because the chandeliers create a very sexy and sultry atmosphere.
