Some like it hot, so the saying goes, and if you're one of those that do, this may be the spot for you. Its selection of traditional Thai favorites features a few spicier-than-spicy entrees such as the Lemon Fish. But even guests looking for milder fare will find much to enjoy here. For openers, have the Tom Kha Gai, a coconut milk-based soup with tangy lemon grass flavors, followed by Jumbo prawns. The décor is quite simple, it's better to concentrate your senses on the food.

Siam Orchid is regarded by many locals and tourists alike as offering some of the best Thai food anywhere. You'll recognize the attention to detail the minute you walk in - from its peaked roofs, sparkling carp pond and gleaming brass trinkets, you'll feel like you've stepped into another world. Dishes range from mild to spicy, exotic to traditional, yet all are prepared with tender loving care.

Thai and Japanese dishes, beautifully prepared with lots of color, are the hallmark of this restaurant which features polished mahogany decor and a formal atmosphere. An evening of fine dining, Thai or Japanese style, might begin with a Seafood Soup or Fried Fish Cakes. The Golden Shrimp is a favorite entrée. Desserts, including mango ice cream topped with fried bananas, will satisfy a sweet tooth.

The dining room boasts polished tile floors and lacquered hardwood seating. Openers here include the Ground Chicken, spiced with ginger and topped with peanuts. Among the entrée favorites are the Viet Combo, a selection of shrimp paste on toast, spring rolls, fried wontons, and beef slices. Surf-and-turf lovers have an option, too: Flower Connection Combo, which includes shrimp, scallops, pork and vegetables served in a bowl made of fried wonton skins.
