Eat while artists create |
8625 International Drive Orlando, FL 32819 United States +1 407 248 2222 http://www.cafetututango.com |
Artists at work are the lure of this restaurant/studio that relies on some of the region's most creative folks to provide the dining atmosphere. In this artsy environment, tapas and other finger foods are the delectables of choice, including such selections as Baked Artichoke and Crabmeat Dip for your chips, Mango Duck Quesadilla, and Dijon Chicken Skewers. There is also a substantial wine list, along with a full bar. This warmly-colored lounge is intimate and laid-back, and the servers are real pros. Every wall is covered in artwork made by local artists, some of it made right in the cafe itself! Each piece of art on the walls is for sale, so at Cafe Tu Tu Tango, you can have your cake and buy a painting of it, too! Review © 2007, Wcities |

If you're in the Casselberry area and traveling on easy-to-find Semoran Boulevard, consider a stop here. It's do-it-yourself cooking at this inviting restaurant, where a friendly and knowledgeable staff give you a quick course in Fondue 101 before letting you have it, with a steaming pot of bubbling broth or sizzling oil used to cook right at your table! Dip fresh beef, tender chicken, or an array of vegetables into heated oil or stick a hunk of crusty bread into melted cheese for a satisfying meal! Accompany it with a crispy salad, and top the evening off with yet another fondue; this one featuring fresh fruit and angel food cake squares waiting to be dipped in melted caramel or chocolate. Eat With the Fishes |
Epcot Center Orlando, FL 32830 United States +1 407 939 3463 http://disneyworld.disney.go.c... |
In this Walt Disney World Epcot attraction, you dine surrounded by multitudes of fish swimming happily about in a huge aquarium sporting five million gallons of water. On the menu are a host of seafood favorites that might include such options as Jumbo Scallops, Tuna or Seafood Enchiladas. There's a full bar here too, but it's the atmosphere that's riveting. It is wise to remember, however, that you must pay to enter Epcot to dine here, so this is a place to consider primarily during park visits. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Country folk dining and entertainment |
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Pioneer Hall Orlando, FL 32830 United States +1 407 939 3463 http://disneyworld.disney.go.c... |
Nobody knows how to do a whoop-de-doo show better than Walt Disney World and it's done here in enthusiastic style with plenty of broad comedy, twanging banjos, Wild West-style dancing and audience participation. This is the most popular of all Disney's dinner events, and a particular favorite with kids. While you're laughing, singing and clapping along, you'll dine on down-such home fare as fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake. Adults are also treated to unlimited beer and wine during the show. Review © 2007, Wcities |

With a decor reminiscent of the "Lion King" and a location at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jiko has lived up to Disney expectations. An exotic mix of European, African and Asian flavors, the cuisine here is interesting and appetizing. Try dishes like Kenyan coffee barbecued chicken, Malay shrimp curry and duck and pork firecracker among many more. Come not only to savor the food but also samples from the extensive wine list, including rare South African wines. Also available are cocktails and post dinner drinks. The prices here may be high but the place is also high on taste value. Enjoy! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Crabs, clams, oysters, and other treats |
4601 South Semoran Boulevard Orlando, FL 32822 United States +1 407 658 9299 http://www.joescrabshack.com |
At Joe's Crab Shack, you'll find cozy hardwood floors, plenty of kitschy decorations and enough crabs to fill the Atlantic (well, almost). Located just off busy Semoran Boulevard, not far from the airport, Joe's Crab Shack is a fun getaway for singles, couples or families, brimming with good cheer and simple, good cooking. Energetic servers dance and boogie around the room every ten minutes to keep things lively, but don't despair; they never let that get in the way of serving you a delightful array of fresh seafood, perfectly steamed crabs, clams and oysters, or a hearty round of scrumptious appetizers. Come for the food, stay for the fun! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Faux fauna and stuffed animals |
12501 State Road 535 Orlando, FL 32830 United States +1 407 827 1257 http://www.jungle-jims.com |
Orlando is known for its themed restaurants, and people who like an animal motif often visit the Rainforest Café, but that entertainment is targeted at adults. This restaurant is unabashedly designed for animal-loving children, who are treated to a plethora of stuffed giraffes, elephants and other soft animals who reside in a themed spot where a gentle waterfall splashes. Here, the menu leans toward hamburgers and seafood, with plenty of special options for children who have their own menu here. A full bar is available. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hidden away in Maitland is a splendid little gem that's just perfect for a first date, or an alternative to the stuffy after-business dinner. Roll up your sleeves, order a glass of wine or a bottle of beer and prepare to work for your dinner. Beef, chicken, pork, and a slew of vegetables, cheeses and other eating accessories make fondue fun at this casually elegant oasis. Sizzling oil cooks meat to perfection, and for the health conscious, the restaurant offers a just-as-tasty boiling broth. If you can find room after an extravagant meal, make sure to try one of the wonderful desserts. There's nothing like hot melted chocolate on fresh fruits to cap off a wonderful meal! Dinner Theater |
3376 Edgewater Drive Orlando, FL 32804 United States +1 407 843 6275 |
This dinner theater features and all-you-can-eat buffet followed by Broadway-style musical performances. It all begins with a Mixed-green or Spinach salad, and progresses to such entrees as Ham, Prime rib or Whitefish. Side dishes include Mashed Potatoes and Macaroni with cheese. Dessert, served during intermission, is an addition charge, but worth the expense. For a rich, filling treat, try the Chocolate Cake. Prices depend on the quality of your seat. Namesake theme prevails |
1506 East Buena Vista Drive Orlando, FL 32830 United States +1 407 827 7827 http://www.planethollywood.com... |
This is one of those eateries you visit more for the atmosphere than for the food. Founded by screen stars Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, among others, the chain was built for those in love with the silver screen. Movie props are everywhere, and the food is good too. A popular spot in Downtown Disney, the restaurant's menu is comparatively simple, focusing its attention on such basic options as cheeseburgers, sandwiches and fajitas, with some interesting appetizers including a Texas Tostadas and such light meals as Mushroom Onion and Swiss Burger. This restaurant does not accept reservations, and as it's very popular, the wait for a table can be quite long. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Dining in Disney World |
EPCOT Center Mexico Pavilion Orlando, FL 32830 United States +1 407 827 8558 http://www.disneyworld.com |
Located in Disney's Epcot center, this restaurant was constructed by the Mexican government to give tourists a taste of Mexico. San Angel mimics a Mexican village by night with 'stars' twinkling overhead and the faint roar of a jaguar in the background. Dark and romantic with flower-bedecked balconies adding a cozy touch, the restaurant features an indoor 'river' winding its way through this scenic village. The restaurant features traditional Mexican favorites including Chicken Tacos, Poached Red Snapper and Grilled Tenderloin with Peppers. Flan is the traditional dessert, and the restaurant also features a full bar. Review © 2007, Wcities |
