Location aside, there's nothing Mickey Mouse about Arthur's 27. This continental/international restaurant, rated "extraordinary" by "Zagat's", sits on the 27th floor of the Buena Vista Palace Hotel, a Disney World Resort property. The views are panoramic, even spectacular for patrons lucky enough to dine during Epcot's nearby nightly fireworks display. French, Greek and Italian dishes prove particular favorites, and patrons should expect to spend generously for each entrée. A prix fixe menu allows visitors to dine on four, five or six-course meals. Reservations are suggested. Professional-casual dress is appropriate.

United States
+1 407 248 2499
http://www.bahamabreeze.com
International Drive, with its unrelenting string of hotels and convenience stores, is about as far as you can get from the serenity of the Caribbean. However, there is an island of retreat here, where enthusiasts have created an island feel through the liberal use of wood shutters, bright primitive art and ceiling fans. This eatery welcomes families with young children, so it might be wise to expect a little noise at favorite kid mealtimes. To get the island flavors going, you might begin with Conch Fritters, and then progress to Seared Tuna Steak or Coconut Chicken. Most entrees are available in half portions, too, and the restaurant offers a full bar.

This restaurant bills itself as offering 'the biggest and best grain-fed beef direct from the Midwest'. It's an accurate assessment by all accounts. What makes this restaurant even more interesting than the average beef-and-baked potato spot is its invitation to guests to grill their own steaks over the restaurant's centerpiece barbecue pit. It might be fun to try your hand, but if you're of the "I'm not going to a restaurant to cook my own meal" camp, the trained staff is happy to serve and cook. Favorites include the eight-ounce Filet Mignon, the 22-ounce Porterhouse steak and the 17-ounce Boneless Rib Eye. Amber lights, soft music and the aroma of food wafting around sums the ambiance. Complement it with the reds and whites selected by the chef. Partake of the Sunday Champagne brunch if you happen to visit, the Chef's table offers a host of delicacies including cheese, wine, and desserts.

In this Walt Disney World Epcot attraction, you dine surrounded by multitudes of fish swimming happily about in a huge aquarium sporting five million gallons of water. On the menu are a host of seafood favorites that might include such options as Jumbo Scallops, Tuna or Seafood Enchiladas. There's a full bar here too, but it's the atmosphere that's riveting. It is wise to remember, however, that you must pay to enter Epcot to dine here, so this is a place to consider primarily during park visits.

Located next to the Mercado Shopping Center, The Crab House is an upscale seafood eatery dedicated to preparing some of the freshest and best-tasting seafood in Orlando. Don't be fooled by its rustic charm and casually-attired wait staff: The Crab House offers top-notch seafood at comparatively high prices. Appetizers include a wide variety of steamed crabs and other shellfish, while dinners range from the fresh catch to the eatery's namesake, lots and lots of crabs from garlic to blue, Alaskan king to stone crabs. Those varieties are quite different, so don't be shy about asking for an explanation from the friendly help. Grab a "free drink or soup" coupon before you visit to help defray the cost-you'll find the coupons in stores and resorts all over town.

Launched by legendary Miami Dolphin football quarterback Dan Marino, this restaurant is an upscale, gentlemanly version of a sports eatery. Naturally, after investing a lifetime in football games, Marino would not have a sports-free restaurant, so you'll find televisions airing all the games. You'll also find lots of polished hardwood and a sports-and-family crowd that knows how to behave itself. Appetizers come in large portions and include a Chicken Quesadilla and Barbecue Salmon. Meats top the list of favorite entrees and range from Delmonico Steak to the restaurant's special meatloaf. A menu is available for children. There's also a full bar here.

Located quite close to the convention center, this restaurant and lounge features wholesome cooking that appeals to conventioneers or anyone staying in or near the popular International Drive area. Moderate prices, sizzling steaks, baked potatoes and solid seafood set this restaurant off from the competitors on this busy drive. A pleasant historic ambience prevails with wood exterior and lots of brick inside, along with tables created from an old Ferris wheel and other historic items. The specialty is food cooked on a wood-fired grill. On the very long menu are plenty of grilled steaks, chicken and rib selections, along with pastas and some vegetarian options. All the sauces and salad dressings are made on the premises. The restaurant is proud of its extensive kid's menu.

Named after Key West's most famous citizen, this restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Hotel Courtyard does much to evoke the atmosphere of that island. Here you dine inside or al fresco in a garden. Inside, a handsome dining room extends the Hemingway/Keys atmosphere. On the menu is an array of pastas, salads, hamburgers, steaks and seafood, winding up with that favorite dessert of the Keys, the key lime pie. There's a full bar here, too; it would not dare be otherwise in a spot dedicated to the memory of the adventurous author.

Nobody knows how to do a whoop-de-doo show better than Walt Disney World and it's done here in enthusiastic style with plenty of broad comedy, twanging banjos, Wild West-style dancing and audience participation. This is the most popular of all Disney's dinner events, and a particular favorite with kids. While you're laughing, singing and clapping along, you'll dine on down-such home fare as fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake. Adults are also treated to unlimited beer and wine during the show.

Featuring peel-and-eat shrimp, crab legs, steamed muscles and of course, lots and lots of lobster (and we do mean lots), but the treats don't stop there. Sumptuous desserts, steaming soups and the appropriately tacky plastic crab and lobster décor make you feel right at home, whether you're a tourist or have lived in Florida all your life. Orlando is known for its themed restaurants, and people who like an animal motif often visit the Rainforest Café, but that entertainment is targeted at adults. This restaurant is unabashedly designed for animal-loving children, who are treated to a plethora of stuffed giraffes, elephants and other soft animals who reside in a themed spot where a gentle waterfall splashes. Here, the menu leans toward hamburgers and seafood, with plenty of special options for children who have their own menu here. A full bar is available.

This is one of those eateries you visit more for the atmosphere than for the food. Founded by screen stars Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, among others, the chain was built for those in love with the silver screen. Movie props are everywhere, and the food is good too. A popular spot in Downtown Disney, the restaurant's menu is comparatively simple, focusing its attention on such basic options as cheeseburgers, sandwiches and fajitas, with some interesting appetizers including a Texas Tostadas and such light meals as Mushroom Onion and Swiss Burger. This restaurant does not accept reservations, and as it's very popular, the wait for a table can be quite long.
