In Florida, sunglasses take on more than fashion-forward importance. They're needed not only to keep eyes safe from near-constant sunshine but also to ease the strain of the sun's glare. There's no reason, however, why you can't combine the therapeutic with the cool. Enter this eyewear studio, owned by Barry Franzblau, the proprietor of a California store that has served celebrities for years. Celebrity offers a broad assortment of sunglasses from such designers as Revo, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Gucci and Ray Ban.

Ahh, she knew she shouldn't have, but she took a bite anyway, and Snow White's adventure began. Her tale comes to life at this store designed to look like the wicked Queen's Dungeon. The sales clerks, who dress in medieval garb, use only Old English when speaking to customers. With more than two hundred varieties of candy available, it is safe to assume that there's something here for every sweet tooth and budget. Treats range from 40 cent items to molded Disney characters and a more expensive five-box assortment of chocolates.

The most important thing to know about this spot is that you don't have to be a park patron to shop here. An open-air shopping enclave, it is built at the edge of a lake and offers 26 stores, including the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, Guitar Gallery, Lego Imagination Center and, of course, the World of Disney, billed as the planet's largest Disney merchandise store. A number of restaurants are tucked in here, including Bongo's, Blues Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and Wolfgang Puck Express.

Parents, teachers and, best of all, kids, love Lego. Those brightly colored building toys set kids' imagination into action as they use the pieces to build...well, stuff. Budding architects will love this 4,000-square-foot center, where they'll find giant flying machines, dragons and spaceships constructed from Lego pieces. Popular sets allow children to build their own pirate ships, water worlds, medieval and modern cities, and doll houses. Outside is a 3,000-square-foot play area, boasting a jungle gym, life-size space-alien family and countless Lego blocks with no restrictions on use or imagination.
