Over the last 21 years, this animal-rehabilitation center has treated and released more than 7,000 birds of prey, including eagles, hawks, vultures and owls. To learn more about these creatures, come by for a visit. Twenty-two species are on view, including the famous bald eagles. The animals here cannot be returned to the wild, mostly because of health reasons. The center also hosts an adopt-a-wild-bird program. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge is the largest wildlife refuge in central Florida. The motto is to rescue wild animals in trouble, raise the young who have been abandoned, rehabilitate the injured animals once they have recovered and release them back into the wild. It has over 2500 animals including wild cats, raccoons, bobcats, hybrid wolf, birds and cougars. Although groups have to pay for admission, the entry is usually free for individuals. Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge is always looking for volunteers and sponsors as it is through their help that this organization survives. Review © 2007, Wcities |
