Classic and central |
Gabels gate 16 Oslo 0272 Norway +47 23 27 6500 |
This hotel is in Frogner, a wealthy part of the city made up of embassies and exclusive shops. The hotel is small and intimate and exudes an English-style elegance. The façade dates from 1912 and is covered with ivy, giving the establishment an inviting and romantic air. The hotel has its own on-site restaurant. Overall, this is a good choice if you are looking for a more intimate setting. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Tradition and luxury |
Karl Johans Gate 31 Oslo 0159 Norway +47 23 21 2000 http://www.grand.no |
This hotel is one of the oldest and most exclusive establishments in Oslo. When pop stars visit the city, they wave at their fans from the hotel balcony (or hide behind their bodyguards in the lobby). Built in 1874, the hotel has catered to celebrities for over a century. Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen was a regular visitor to the hotel restaurant, the Grand Café. The hotel has a swimming pool, skylight bar and nightclub. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The largest hotel in northern Europe |
Sonja Henies plass 3 Oslo 0134 Norway +47 22 17 1000 http://www.radisson.com |
One of northern Europe's largest hotels, on sunny days the shining glass walls become a landmark that lights the city. At the swimming pool on the top floor you can enjoy drinks and a fantastic view of the city. Its next-door neighbour is Oslo Spektrum, perhaps that is why celebrities choose this hotel. There is one restaurant and several bars on site. Two of the city's largest shopping centres are within a two-minute walk, and the Oslo Sentralstasjon/NSB and bus terminal are 200 metres away.
