Run by sisters Jeanne d'Arc and Marie "Mama" Antoinette, (yes, those are their real names) this unassuming Lebanese restaurant on Ottawa's trendy Elgin Street is a must visit for anyone looking for something a little different. The food is excellent and inexpensive, and available 22 hours a day. Favourites include the Shawarma Platter and the Club Sandwich. There are also several vegetarian dishes. What really distinguishes this establishment, however, is the eclectic, late-night clientele - no one is turned away, no matter how "different" they might be.

The menu is popular with a broad variety of well-dressed diners, and the menu caters both to first-timers and veterans of Middle Eastern food. The "mazza" appetizers supply a well-rounded sampler of Lebanese cuisine, while the dinner menu features a variety of grilled dishes, such as lamb and chicken, as well as a number of vegetarian options.

The menu includes the full range of traditional Lebanese appetizers, including many vegetarian dishes, and is heavy in kababs, shawarmas and a variety of seafood, lamb and chicken dishes. The dessert selection includes both North American and Lebanese standards, while the wine list features a selection of French and Ontario wines. Take away is available from the affiliated street-level Falafel Stop.
