This popular after work brewpub has a cozy atmosphere, great snacks and hard-to-resist micro-brewed beer made on the premises. It is the perfect place to have a few pints and catch up with an old friend. The bar has an upstairs and downstairs, each with a slightly different atmosphere. There are a couple of pool tables downstairs and the scene is usually younger and a little more boisterous. Upstairs you will often find groups of business people or couples enjoying a quiet meal.

Located in the heart of the Byward Market, Domus brings the garden to the city as the chef boasts fresh, regional and seasonal ingredients and strives to include as much organic produce as possible. The decor is crisp and stark with lots of natural light. There is a funky store attached, which sells high quality kitchenware and cookbooks. You can browse while you wait for your meal to be prepared.

The diverse menu of multicultural entrees, homemade breads and both rich and light desserts is popular with all kinds of vegetarians and includes a number of dishes, such as many wheat-free desserts, suitable for specialized diets. Be warned that pricing is by weight, so heavier selections, like the delicious vegetarian lasagne, tend to quickly run up your bill.
