Café Vavin is a bustling, friendly café-bar just a minute's walk from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. This lively spot is a favorite with the artists, writers, students and families with young children of the quarter. Simple but generously portioned food is served all day (salads, daily specials of meat & fish dishes, cheeses & desserts). Sample the special duck breast in green pepper sauce, veal kidneys braised in cream with homemade mashed potatoes, or the always delicious smoked tuna steak.
