Venue Loaded with History |
107, Rue P.V. Couturier Paris 95100 |
This unusual and beautiful venue, composed of vaulted stone compartments, was originally an 18th century storage space for seeds and grains. Since 1990, it has functioned as a distinguished concert hall, particularly hosting jazz and improvisational music. The space is also used for artist residencies and since 2003 has begun to welcome contemporary musical artists in styles like rock, hip hop, and pop. Recognizing the cultural and historical importance of this space, the city instigated a project of restoration in 2005 to guarantee another century of benefit and appreciation.
