This beautiful historic monument, built in 1640, is a meticulously conserved example of a design by the celebrated architect François Mansart. Today, visitors can enjoy the architecture, the gardens, the permanent exhibit devoted to the history of horse-racing, and educational activities devoted to themes including architecture, history, literature, mathematics, fine arts, and music. The Château may be visited free of charge on the first Sunday of each month, from November until March. Guided tours and rental of space for events also available. Review © 2009, Wcities |
