The official chocolate makers to the Kings of France are still making waves in Paris. Founded in the 1800's by Sulpice Debauve (the pharmacist of King Louis XVI) who created a legacy, still lives on. Choose from among hundreds of chocolates: dark, white, Easter eggs, pralines, Chocolate Bouchées with nougat, milk chocolate candies, boxes of luscious truffles, Ganaches (mixture of chocolate with butter and milk) and many more. The store on Rue des Saints-Pères (which is listed on the French Historic Monument List) is a chocolate lover's fantasy - a tremendous selection with no signs of depletion! Review © 2009, Wcities |
