It's hard to find a real pub in Paris with no gimmicks. Le Pantalon is a French pub in its own right, without the Guinness flags that hang outside the "Irish" pubs. The bar is well-stocked but simple. The beer prices are fair (possibly the best in the touristy fifth). The pub is small, but the ambiance is incredible, with a red light illuminating the back room and signs plastered all over the walls. Regulars are here early and often - if you come after midnight, you may have to stand at the bar and chat with the (cute!) bartenders. - Emily Monaco Review © 2009, Wcities |
