Concerts, theater, lectures, art exhibits, film series-- if for any reason you find yourself in Paris up a creek for Japanese culture, classical or contemporary, la Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris is THE place to go. Spend an afternoon browsing in their English, French, and Japanese library or lounge with a pair of headphones in the AV department to enjoy a movie or CD. There's also a tea room upstairs. On your way out make sure to stop by the small but well-stocked gift shop for books, dishes, and other articles to keep the spirit of Japan with you.
