A fast lunch but with some class... |
31 Rue de Turenne Paris 75003 France +33 1 4478 0605 |
This New York style sandwich bar is very popular throughout the district, and in Paris. At the Bagel store you can of course buy sandwiches, rolls, and bagels, but also some very good, and very big salads. You can eat inside, take a table outside, or even take your sandwich with you and eat in the quietness of the nearby Place des Vosges. Expect to pay around EUR9.14. Review © 2007, Wcities |

New York's Finest |
12, Rue Notre-Dame-des-Champs Paris 75006 France +33 1 42 22 44 15 |
Finally France has caught on: Americans love their bagels (and brownies). At this Parisian interpretation of a New York deli, you'll find lines of expatriates and locals who come craving cream cheese. The bagels are all named after U.S. cities, with the exotic avocado fusion of the "Los Angeles" and the classic lox combination of the "Philadelphia." Grab a bagel and brownie and head over to the nearby Jardin du Luxembourg for a cheap yet delightful Parisian/American excursion. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Real American Food in Paris |
17 Rue de Ecoles Paris 75005 France +33 01 43 54 50 28 http://breakfast-in-america.co... |
This is an amazingly well-kept secret in Paris. With just a handful of tables, Breakfast in America recreates the American breakfast diner experience as well it should - it was established by a bona fide American ex-pat in 2003. Complete with American coffee, O.J., pancakes with real maple syrup, and to-die-for eggs, the breakfast and brunch menus are the better known offerings, but be sure to check out their burgers in the afternoon. Trendy restaurant |
8 Rue Boissy d'Anglais Paris 75008 France +33 1 5305 9000 http://www.buddha-bar.com |
A hit with businessmen and a fashionable crowd, this kitschy, exotic restaurant isn't quite what you'd expect to find just a few minutes away from the Crillon luxury hotel and ultra chic Place de la Concorde. Climb the massive staircase to this huge restaurant's smaller dining areas, watched over by an enormous Buddha. The imaginative Japanese-Californian menu features grilled duck and other meat dishes. The full U.S. experience |
5 Rue de Berri Paris 75008 France +33 1 4562 5023 |
A couple of yards from the Champs-Élysées, come taste the splendour, the extravagance and madness of America. Deep pan pizzas are served by pompom girls while the sounds of American rock music fills the Americana-laden walls of this country and western-style bar. Remember, one pizza is generally enough for two people. Reservations are only taken for groups of more than 15. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A world phenomenon |
14 Boulevard Montmartre Paris 75009 France +33 1 5324 6000 http://www.hardrock.com/locati... |
Tried and tested in all the world's major capitals, this worldwide chain has inevitably opened in Paris too. Cuisine is American, mainly hamburgers, served in surroundings crammed with pieces of rock history, which include Eric Clapton's guitar or The Beatles' original music scores. Checked tablecloths and trendy Texan kitsch give the restaurant a roadhouse feel (only more classy) while rock hits are played around the clock. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Lodge-Like Restaurant |
77700 Marne La Vallee (Disney Sequoia Lodge) Paris France +33 01 60 30 40 50 http://www.disneylandparis.com... |
At Hunter's Grill, located in Disney's Sequoia Lodge, you practically feel as if you're in the dense forest of the Sequoia National Park itself. The restaurant's servers look like park rangers and there's even a fireplace to create a lodge effect. They serve well-crafted international dishes. The recreated national park's atmosphere is not to be missed. Review © 2007, Wcities |

An American legend |
30 Rue Pierre-Lescot Paris 75001 France +33 1 4236 7013 http://www.joeallenrestaurant.... |
This restaurant's wholesome American fare brings a taste of Manhattan to the heart of Paris. With its round tables, checked tablecloths and brick walls covered with posters, Joe's is a copy of its sister restaurant in New York. The stylish surroundings and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect place for drinking a Bloody Mary or some of the other superb cocktails served. Sheltered from prying eyes by high bushes, the restaurants situation in a quiet little street in the Halles area makes it a favourite with businessmen and show business personalities alike. Set menus for EUR17-EUR21. Expect to pay EUR35-EUR45 for a meal à la carte. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Vices in guises |
47 Rue de Richelieu Paris France +33 1 4297 4649 |
Even the French will get fooled when dining at Juveniles. Restaurateur Tim Johnston is a foreigner whose café-bar has a French feel to it. Accompanied with wine, a variety of Tapas are served. All meals are exotic and have flavors from across the continent. Gorge on the sausages, salmon, potatoes or the non-French cheese. Johnston's a real wine connoisseur so let him choose the best wine for you. After a meal, choose from a variety of Cuban cigars to end a true gourmet meal. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hipster Heaven |
102 bis rue de Bagnolet Paris 75020 France +33 14 464 0102 http://www.flechedor.fr/ |
Parisian hipsters have quickly made the 20th their new home, and La Fleche d'Or is at the height of the scene. If you are looking for a hip/indie crowd, untainted by cool hunters and gentrification (at least not yet!), then squeeze into those cigarette jeans and check it out. The live music, cheap drinks, and industrial loft-style décor (the building used to be the Charonne train station up until 1937) keeps the crowds young and coming back for more. Bands from all over the world are showcased here, bringing in an eclectic style of rock with a twist of sexy trance and edgy punk styles. -Laura Sumser Review © 2007, Wcities |
