With a complex history of show business, renovations, changes in fortune, rivalries, and successes dating back to 1858, the Théâtre Comedia continues to entertain the people of Paris with ambitious and eclectic programming. Before 2000, it was known as l'Eldorado, alternately a stage for concerts, comics, and cinema. The current building was constructed in the 1930s, and retains the style of the era. The venue seats 994 with a foyer and bar to welcome the audience.
