Named after famous comedian Virginie Dejazet, this theatre has managed to retain its essence, despite it closing down for around 135 years. It was first established in the year 1770 by Comte d'Artois, later crowned Charles X. Nestled on Le Boulevard du Crime along with many other theatres, this cultural venue is the sole survivor from all the rest. There was a time when close to 10,000 people gathered on Le Boulevard du Crime to witness performances at this theatre, when it was at the peak of its glory. This was the place where the crème de la crème of society assembled for their entertainment. So go ahead take your place among seats that have accommodated some really famous people.
