This theater was established in 1822 as a venue for vaudeville acts, and then renovated in 1907 and 1922. It has the distinction of being one of the few 19th century Parisian theaters still open today. It prides itself as a venue dedicated to poetry and reflection, and refuses to cede to commercial temptations. The hall seats 580 people.
