The Déchargeurs theater, opened in 1981 in a 17th century mansion, is devoted to entertainment and not necessarily to high art, which is good news for its patrons. Five or six plays, one or two of which tend to be musicals or feature music in some way, are usually performed on a rotating basis in the little 100-seat room, some in their original language.
