This novel festival takes away the pretensions of the typical haughty art fair and focuses the majority of the events directly on kids. It gives burgeoning artists a chance to interact with the cultural community, and celebrates the contribution youthful creators make to the city. All media are represented (visual, dance, theatre and film) and workshops are an integral part of the gala. Festival venues in central Perth include the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Western Australian Museum and Stirling Park. Ticket prices range from free to AUD15. Review © 2007, Wcities |
