This two week event, which is put together by the non-profit Philadelphia Film Society, spotlights a variety of independent works ranging from feature length to short, documentary, animation and experimental film. In past years, nearly 300 entries from all over the world were featured to audiences of up to 60,000 people. The films cover a wide range of topics, some with all-star casts and others featuring fresh faces and new talent. Submission costs range from $15-$30. Filmmakers from all backgrounds and locations are welcome to apply, and film buffs and amateurs alike are invited to take part in the viewings.
