Open-air cafe |
276 S 20th St Philadelphia, PA 19103 United States +1 215 731 1222 |
A small open-air French café in downtown Philadelphia? Yes. Good luck getting a seat. The menu is generally Mediterranean: hummus, olives, several choices for meat and fish, and a long list of focaccia variations. The decor is minimalist: bare white walls, stainless steel ducts, and cool green window frames. The windows are the dominant feature here. In summer, they're wide open, and a cool breeze carries the flavors from one small table to the next. Sitting here is so pleasant, it's a great place for people-watching. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Gets to the Point |

It has been said that the owner consulted a Feng Shui expert when designing the harmoniously arranged interior of this restaurant. In the belief that superior food must be balanced by not only quality service but an equally balanced environment, there is an intriguing, moody, film-noir quality to the space. The menu has a way of appealing to the senses in a sort of subliminal way, combining an otherwise common ingredient with a surprising twist. See website for full menus and more. Note the extensive lists of both wine and imported and microbrewed beers. Review © 2007, Wcities |
