Ola Mexicana! |
1651 East Passyunk Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19148 United States +1 215 755 3550 |
This low-key hangout doesn't attract much attention, and that's probably because of its out-of-the-way location. Once you venture here, however, it is another story altogether. The cantina dishes out raving Mexican fare (enchiladas, tacos et al), draught beers, margaritas, sangria, tequila—name anything Mexican, and most likely they'll have it! Review © 2007, Wcities |

The identical twin to South Street's Copabanana. Like its sister location, the atmosphere is casual and fun. Copa's classic menu includes nachos, chili, and Snakebites, which are fried breaded jalapenos and cheese served with salsa. Nightly and weekly specials consist of steaks or fish of the day prepared in authentic Southwestern recipes. Review © 2007, Wcities |

1455 Franklin Mills Circle Philadelphia, PA 19154 United States +1 215 632 1500 / +1 800 336 6255 http://www.millscorp.com/index... |

Located about 16 miles from Center City, the mall has over 200 different places to shop. The fact that Pennsylvania does not charge sales tax for clothing makes this mall an ideal choice for fashion-conscious shoppers looking to build a new wardrobe. Fine Mexican Cuisine, Casual Atmosphere |
106 South 13th Street Philadelphia, PA 19107 United States +1 215 546 7100 http://www.lolitabyob.com |
Lolita calls itself "BYOT" - Bring Your Own Tequila. The sophisticated Mexican food available here offers a variety suited to most any palate, in an environment that is pleasantly laid back. The menu features many Mayan-inspired dishes with an international twist, such as the borrega, borrega, a grilled ginger lamb loin served with a huitlacoche tamal and portabello-shiitake escabeche. And don't let the "BYOT" motto fool you - the selection of margaritas - served by the pitcher - is not to be missed. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Warm atmosphere, not hot tamales |
1602 Locust St Philadelphia, PA 19103 United States +1 215 546 0181 http://www.tequilasphilly.com/ |
There aren't many Mexican restaurants in town, but even if there were, this would still stand out as one of the best. The menu tends towards more subtle flavors, such as Chicken Molé slow cooked, a rich mild flavor. The margaritas are made with fresh juices, the music is the right volume for conversation, and the high ceilings are painted in warm amber shades and softly lit, but not too dark to see the menu. Casual Mexican restaurant |
104 Chestnut St Philadelphia, PA 19106 United States +1 215 923 5233 http://www.mexicanpost.com/ |
Relax in this cozy, casual atmosphere to enjoy authentic Mexican dinners, snacks and drinks. One of the best Margaritas in town in six different flavors. The food is traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex, with some burgers and chicken dishes thrown in. Not all the food is spicy, in case you're worried; but if you prefer it hot, let them know and you will get what you want. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Unlikely burrito entrees |
212 S 11th St Philadelphia, PA 19107 United States +1 215 413 2378 http://www.santafeburrito.com |
This makes a delightful change of pace from the traditional local diet of hoagies and cheesesteaks. Santa Fe serves standard, vegetarian and specialty burritos. Selections include health-conscious choices like the Faux Beef: beef-flavored soy product with two types of beans, low-fat cheese, and salsa. Meat lovers, do not fear, all items are available with the real thing. Other entrées include original combinations of shrimp, cheeses, guacamole and chili peppers. Review © 2007, Wcities |
