This is the only historic covered bridge within the Philadelphia City limits and it's only open to pedestrian traffic. Thomas Mill is a photogenic red bridge with a distinctive sawtooth design at the roof line of the portal. An equestrian trail meanders by on the south, but on the north, the trail is too steep and rocky for horses. The site is often photographed from the equestrian trail.
