It is not uncommon for the Painter trees, the real stars of the Tyler Arboretum, to reach 150 years of age. Another special feature, the Stopford Family Meadow Maze, guides visitors on a tour of the native botanical life. At Tyler's highest point, Raptor Roost, patrons can view the maze from an elevated position as well as keep an eye out for migrating birds-of-prey. Both guided tours and self-tours are available. Adult admission is USD5; Youth (3-15 years) pay USD3. Children under three and members admitted free. Review © 2009, Wcities |
