On the first Friday and second Saturday of every month, famed restaurateur Joseph Poon, known as Chinatown's unofficial mayor, leads a tour in which he weaves a four course meal and cooking demonstrations at the restaurant that bears his name into the neighborhood's larger cultural context. The tour costs $45 per person, which includes food and Poon's lively and engaging personality.
