The name literally means "Joe's Basement," and this lively Italian/American restaurant specializes in gargantuan portions in a "furnished-from-a-rummage-sale" atmosphere. This is sort of a replica of an Italian/American social club with photos and memorabilia filling just about every available space. Huge portions of spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, chicken cacciatore, veal marsala. Plan on lots of leftovers for lunch the next day.
