Phoenix

One may be surprised to discover that Phoenix is a cultural oasis. Its numerous galleries and art museums hold an impressive range of Amerindian and European art. Opera, dance, classical music, and ballet all sit alongside venues for contemporary music. However, drama takes center stage in Phoenix, and the city proudly boasts the grandeur of the Orpheum Theatre and the less pretentious-looking Dodge Theatre. The Herberger is home to four resident professional companies: Arizona Theatre Company, Center Dance Ensemble, Actors Theatre and Childsplay.
