They call themselves the "Home of the Windy City Slider." What's a slider? A couple-of-bites-sized, steamed hamburger that is usually topped with onions and can also include cheese. Never had one? Here, you can give it a try for just 74 cents, or go all the way up to $1.21 for a double with cheese. Named "Best place to go for Chicago scores and hot dogs" by Phoenix New Times in 1997. Walls are covered with Chicago street signs and sports memorabilia. TV sets are tuned in to Chicago sports. Besides the sliders, you can get pure-beef Vienna hot dogs or Polish dogs for $3-4, Italian Beef and Peppers or Sausage and Peppers for $4-5 and all of the appropriate sides. Bring cash.
