Long before Cave Creek was the trendy place for city slickers to build their winter homes, there was Harold's, a legend with locals since 1935. The true-to-life Arizona ambiance has been seen in many films and has been visited by many celebrities. If you're looking for a real western experience, mosey on up to this cowboy cafe. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, kick up your heels to the live country music. A rambling, ramshackle building is studded with western ranch paraphernalia both inside and out. Rustic furnishings and photos of the place's history give it a "this-ain't-no-country-club" attitude. At dinner, grilled steaks and ribs are the regular's favorite choices.
