This eclectic cafe features a menu as varied as its decor. The staff is fun and energetic, and the clientele is too. From the outside, the place looks like a lovely country home, but inside it appears as if 18 cans of multi-colored paint exploded in some terrific accident. Everything, from the chair cushions to the napkins to the beams that hold up the roof, is alive with delightful colors. Whimsical decorations abound, and the whole mix provides a light, fun atmosphere. This restaurant serves virtually everything, borrowing liberally from a variety of countries and serving it all up with mouth-watering perfection. Breakfast treats include such delicacies as French toast stuffed with cream cheese and marmalade, and Eggs Houssard, which is poached eggs, ham, and tomatoes on an English muffin and drenched with Hollandaise and Marchand de Vin sauce. Appetizers like the Thai Chicken Wrap or Cajun popcorn shrimp can fill you up before you even get to the heaping sandwiches, the crisp salads, the piles of pasta, the tender chicken, the juicy meats or the delicate fish. If you manage to save room after the made-from-scratch meatloaf, the Chinese chicken stir-fry or the beer battered halibut, try some warm apple cinnamon cobbler with ice cream.
