This annual Irish celebration arrives the weekend before St. Patrick's Day, for the wearing of the green. Old-fashioned fun includes one of Phoenix's nicer parades featuring many different entrants, from local political figures to just plain folk. The parade generally departs from Central Avenue and Thomas Road, heading south to Margaret T. Hance Park.
