In a rather stark storefront near Arizona State University, the Assadi's turn out terrific tender and tasty kabobs and a few other choice Persian-style entrees, sides and beverages. Diners do not come for the decor; you will find just a few tables and a display case. They do, however, come here for the well-prepared ethnic cuisine that is offered. The service is fast and friendly, the food flavorful. Beef, Lamb and Vegetarian Kabobs, plus the unusual Cornish hen kabob called Joojeh. Kabobs come with basmati rice and grilled vegetables.
