Timothy Michael's Hideaway, don't let the name fool you. There's nothing cloak-and-dagger about this modern American place. Both the decor and the cuisine are straightforward, regionally inspired classics, kicked up for contemporary palates. Maybe the only mystery is that there's not one Timothy Michael, but two: Timothy Perkins, who manages the restaurant, and Michael Hodgins, its chef. Black and ivory furnishings and black and white photography create an American version of the yin/yang effect. A fountain and fireplace in the courtyard makes perfect outdoor dining. A few house specialties include Buffalo mozzarella, tomato and roasted chicken salad; Jack Daniels-glazed baby back ribs; bourbon-and-maple-syrup-glazed salmon; and rack of lamb.
