Northeast Ainsworth Street 2529 (between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 33rd Avenue) Portland, OR 97211 +1 503 823 2223 http://www.portlandparks.org/Parks/AinsBlks.htm |
These grassy strips of Portland more closely resemble a street than a park. If you are in the Northeast, it is a great place to ride a bike or take a walk. It is also a shining example of civic rejuvenation. In the late 1980s, the blocks were full of dying trees and grass, trash and blight. The long parkway has come a long way, and the homes lining it are now hot real estate in Portland. Come by and check out the tunnel of trees. Review © 2009, Wcities |
